An hidden water stream
The water stream running through Saluzzo is called "Rio Torto" (Twisted channel). At some point upstream the town, it has been split and a small section was diverted to run separately in order to power various town watermills (and act as open air sewage?), back in the days. Although now a big section of the main channel and the smaller ones have been covered and run under the streets, I like to see where it resurfaces. This is the little stream just before it joins back the main course of Rio Torto, running hidden between houses. I like this narrow space with the view of the Castiglia, the former castle-turned-prison-turned-museum, on the top of the hill in the background.
