Wettsteinhäuschen
This out-of-place-looking old cottage, now on the back of a school among modern buildings, was built in 1571 in a wineyard just outside the city walls. For all the last century was the work studio of artists, like the famous Basel sculptor Alexander Zschokke. I like it, battered by the centuries, half hidden behind trees and buildings, overlooked by most.
